What are we going to do with this?
I think guys like Bautista being cut just need to be left not available for auction In the future for this scenario.
However, determining what level of player gets this status is going to be tough
We have all benefited from a player being cut and signed for cheap late in the season.
In regards to what yanks said about "what is keeping phillies from cutting(fill in the blank)". He would first have to login in and realize he still manages a team here.
Boot him.

Maybe just use ESPN's undroppable list for standard leagues? games.espn.go.com/flb/tools/undroppablesIt's 25 guys, which seems a little low, and I disagree with a couple of the selections given that size (Felix Hernandez is droppable, but Jay Bruce isn't?) But I think it's a solution that could be implemented easily, and ESPN updates it throughout the season to account for changes in value. (They did remove Bautista last week sometime...)

I like that guys sent into the non drop pool aren't able to be bid on bc it totally prevents this situation and one person having an "unfair" advantage by throwing a season and having a lot of cap available with no competitors.

So I have been reading everything & I am going to throw in my thoughts, which aren't worth much but anyway. I understand the whole can't bid on certain players when dropped and stuff but we do not have a rule in place as of this year & I do not think it is fair to implement a rule mid-season based on a reactionary mode. True, Bautista could get signed for $35 right now by someone with extra cap space right now (Indians, Cubs, Royals) & everyone would not have a fair shot at him but that's part of the game. Bautista should be available right now & honestly Yanks, Cards, Braves, or myself should not be able to decide that we need an immediate rule in-season because we can't benefit. Yes, Bautista may be the one guy who slips through this before there is a rule but that happens. How is this different than with V-Mart? Or with Darvish? If someone was able to keep cap space to bid, then there should not all of a sudden be a no-bid rule out of thin air. That's not how any league operates. Rules don't just change mid-year; they change when owners can talk after the season. Just my thoughts.

Please realize that I am not saying that I think there does not need to be a rule; simply that a rule should not be put in place until the offseason.

Gimme a break, some people put a lot of work in to the league and deal with constant messages and complaints and are always trying to make everybody happy and all anyone seems to do is just complain more. I have no problem either way the Bautista thing goes and I really dont think TJ does either. As he pointed out himself he was just attempting to address a situation where we really should have had a rule in place all along. I absolutely see Mets point but I can certainly also see the argument for encountering something that we should have already had then it should be corrected as soon as possible. I mean, we arent talking about a prospect limit change or something.
Please dont act like if someone has a different opinion on it than you then it must be because they are trying to screw you over. And why are you still in the league Indians if you think its run so unfairly?

And why are you still in the league Indians if you think its run so unfairly? I Think I can Asnwer the Lst Part here!! WHY we Don't leave YET?? is because we DON'T want to RUIN this League!! That is Why I am in here still,,, I get tired of some stuff but I'll clear My Mind some way,,, Imagine this!! Indians and Cubs leave then U will get another Marlins Twins Situation!! That is WHY we Complain and want something done,,, I am sure ALL Appreciate what ur guys is doing!! I Offered to help with the Edit of SS but guess No one know that Now U all do!! JoeBats was DROPPED and there Isn't any Rule to NOT Bid on Him so METS is RIGHT ON!!! And it is UNFAIR!!! It's Plain Simple!! Now IF U wanna CHANGE a Rule or Implement One we Al Agreed ALWAYS that it comes in effect AFTER the Seasons Over,,, We agreed also that there will be NO MORE IMMEDIATE RULE CHANGES like Just what happened by Taking Off Batista from the Free Agent again UNFAIR!!! As U can see i am PISSED Cause Because of THIS I can't Sign him at a Cheaper Price now and That again is UNFAIR!!! U know what Else is UNFAIR to me? Especially for this League?? Packing My bags and Leave U all to SEARCH for a Competitive Manager!! I Brought my brother in here TO MAKE IT A BETTER LEAGUE!!!!! Lots of U at the Start talke Crap!! Guess what Man is 2nd Behind Yanks for a First Year Who EVERYONE Expected him to Not even have an ABOVE.500 Record!! So PACKING My BAGS and LEAVE this League That my friend Would be UNFAIR!!! That is Why I think Guys like Indians and Me are still here,,,, BTW I APRECIATE What U COMMISH Guys are doing Keep it up!! And I thinkit is OUR Chocie to Complain to TRY to make this league Better,,, And this is Just My Opinion here and if I am WRONG Plss BOOT ME!!
