Actually Goldschmidt was all set to be the very final pick by me of last year's draft.....then I ran out of time without even knowing it. Oops.

Nice try guys but once again you finish behind me yet again ... best draft ever ...
Round One - Gaby Sanchez Round Two - Jason Motte Round Three - I sucked Round Four - Dellin Betances Round Five - Dayan Viciedo Round Six - Mat Latos Round Seven - Brandon Allen
That was year one drafting with the 12th pick. Now this is how you build a DYNASTY team ! Make every pick count, fill multiple productive positions.

yanks...you're the loser who took nick franklin in the 1st round...EARLY...He hit 7hrs this year at the same level...probably a bust.
That is a good draft, but yours has had a couple more years to simmer. You wanted to deal motte to me for next to nothing at one point. Give those guys a year or two more and that could go down in infamy.
What year was that draft? Before the league even started?

So let's see here Cards you moron. I humiliate you in our head to head meeting and you come on here and say you "had an off week", I have the 2nd best regular season record in the league by one game and you tell the league "You expected more from me", I win the championship and go wire to wire in 1rst and you say "you had a rebuilding year" and now I have the most productive draft and you have more excuses LOL
First off you have rebuilding years after you were good, you have never won the league. It's not rebuilding it's just sucking. Second this is how you build a championship 4 years later. Out of that 7 person draft I drafted two all stars, a world series closer, a top 10 pitching prospect, and two other starters.
You want to talk about last year's draft. Danny Espinosa is already contributing at the pro level, Peguero and Adelin are both 20 years old, Zach Lee and Tajuan Walker are both their organization's #1 prospect.
Before you open your mouth and sound more like the idiot you already are go check facts. Oh and my drafts did something yours never could ... win me the championship.

I know facts are really hard for you to accept but Franklin hit 7 homers yes, but he played just 88 games at three levels.
130 games 2010 - 88 games 2011
Avg. .283 - .281 OBP - .356 - .352
pretty similar I'd say, had he had 42 more games, oh and let's say he did have those 42 more ...
2010 - .283 - 92 r i - 25 sb 2011 - .281 - 96 r - 27 sb
That's great production from a 20 year old SS, but I know how facts cloud your rationale LOL

Before you open your mouth and sound more like the idiot you already are go check facts. Oh and my drafts did something yours never could ... win me the championship. Hey man...if I wanted to not compete for 3 years and then pour all my resources into one year, i could win a championship 4 years out as well. Lemme trade kemp, gio and asdrubal right now for a boat load of minor leaguers and sit through 3 years of sucking. We both know winning the championship comes down to luck in the last year. Who is hurt, who rests, who get traded and who goes off (ie mike stanton putting me out of the playoffs last year). This year i was a victim of colby rasmus and carlos santana sucking at the begining of the year and pablo being hurt. If lawrie had been up in may I would have been fine. The fact that I can identify my problems of why I finished just a few game behind you should you you why it was a rebuilding year. Your draft was terrible bc you took franklin and peguero when you could have taken those good players. Espinosa, lee, and walker are good, No doubt, but the fact u took franklin and peguero before them shows that you had NO CLUE what you were doing.

Luck ? Well if we are talking luck in 2009 I was in first place before 3 of my top 4 hitters hit the DL (Arod, Upton, and Longoria), there was also 2 starters who went down and two closers. I didn't cry like you I built a team with depth last year. Every team has injuries. YOU SUCK please just admit it already you have excuse after excuse, how you could have won, should have won, fact is you didnt! It's funny how you could have won for 4 years if you realllllly wanted to hahahaha... Never have, never will. I won this year despite losing Arod, Longoria, had no starting catcher at one point, no starting 2B, and my staff was down to 3 guys. But I won, that's what good owners do they adapt and win.
You keep hating on Franklin when he is a top 5 SS prospect in the minors with a clear path to a major league job, and Peguero who is 19 years old LOL. Even though I shouldn't have to explain this I don't draft for "best player available" I draft who will help my team win. Jason Motte was mocked in round 2, no one like Gaby in round one (he started that year at 1B for me all season) etc.
My guys start for me or are traded for production, you yourself claim "the best draft ever" still had multiple guys who aren't in the league anymore. Out of your 2009 and 2010 draft class almost half of those guys aren't in the league anymore by contrast every one of my players but one are not only in the Kirby league but in the major league producing. This shows you have no clue.
The more you talk the worse you sound, just be quiet little man and follow my blueprint of how to win.

yea but u had them in the playoffs to win the ship
peguero would have gone undrafted last year if it wasnt for u taking him in the 3rd or whatever. Nuff said. I bet you wouldn't draft him this year after his .215 line at rookie ball.
Insults don't hurt me silly. This is about the draft in here. No smack about winning allowed.
No doubt you won...The way u did is just cheap IMO.

and to go back to your point of me trading my elite players for minor leaguers, please elaborate on what top players I dealt for minor leaguers? Please share ... I've had Longoria, Upton, and Braun, which I think we all could assume was my base for over 3 seasons now. I've had Kershaw, Morrow, and Valverde for 3 + as well. In fact the only guys on my entire roster who contributed to last season that were ever available in the draft were Maybin who I dealt for right before the year and didn;t sit on, Barney who I got off the waiver wire, Kimbrel and Venters who I got before the year didn't wait on, Walden was a mid season deal, Jensen mid season deal, and Jennings who was a late call up and barely played for me.
Give me one, seriously one example of when I traded a top notch player for nothing but minor leaguers to sit on and help me win last season. I know you'll ignore this because you are wrong and you always are.

yeah sorry for clogging up the board today Stars with nonsense. It just bugs me when someone has excuse after excuse and just can't admit when the better man is well better LOL, and then throws out statements that have literally zero truth and no facts. Just a pet peeve I guess I should just let him keep making himself looks stupid lol
