Cardinals Send: Jason Bay 12 mil Dodgers Send: Ryan Ludwick 1 mil Derek Holland TEX 4rd, 6rd picks in current draft 2008 was ludwick's Big year This is a great example of a deal. Everyone thought I was getting ripped off in this deal even with ludwick coming off a big year. Ludwick bombed and holland was the prize. I win.

So I forgot to join in on the fun in this thread. I will be the first to admit my prospect knowledge is nowhere near a lot of you Sickel disciples. Everybody has different ways to build a farm system. So here is my 2011 draft recap:
#2 - Manny Machado - no homework needed. Stud! #5 - Jameson Taillon - stupidly dealt to Yankees for Matusz before he had his free-fall. #9 - John Lamb - can't control Tommy John surgery. Time will tell on him. #15A - Michael Choice - Stud OF #15B - Jason Kipnis - Traded to Cardinals. We are both happy with our deals. #33 - Christian Colon - Sent to Angels in the David Price deal. #41 - Robbie Erlin - Sent in the Tim Lincecum deal. Since I failed in the playoffs this was a bust. #62 - Edward Salcedo - Sent to Rangers(Nationals) for Kevin Jepsen. Dumb! #63 - Kaleb Cowart - Sent to Angels in the David Price deal. #71 - Peter Tago - dumb pick.
It will be fun to see what happens to my 2012 crop of talent.
