Goal: increase mid season activity and give teams outta contention a chance to improve What: Supplemental Mid Season Minor League Draft, Two tiers completely randomized after buy in . Tier 1$15 tier 2 $5
When: Monday-thur all star break . Who: Non drafted minor league players from previous draft and international. The MLB draft would not be complete so they will still be allocated to our traditional MILB draft in January
These picks are not tradable and players drafted must stay on roster rest of season . Players must be minor league eligible and you must forfeit your two picks in the next season minor draft (5,6).
Ex Detriot, Chicago , Boston , New York buy to tier 1 Seattle Arizona Houston buy to tier 2
Randomized order through a website.
1. Boston--- Bryan Woo 2. Chicago-- Phillips 3. New York- Salas 4. Detriot- Walcott 5.Houston- Cano 6. Arizona- Abbott 7. Seattle- some other name I am not educated on
The first tier 2 will draft behind the lowest tier 1
Why: Allows teams out of contention to influx prospects into their team . Allows $$ to be allocated towards a team's direction. Allows in contention teams to add a piece (woo, abbott, etc) for a high upfront cost ($15 or $5) and they still keep their minor league arbitration path.

If no one else says no does this mean we can implement?

Thanks for proving my point that you like to be difficult.
No, for multiple reasons.
I don't have the capacity in season to organize and run such an involved task. We already have something in place now that allows prospects that were not drafted but are in bigs to be utilized for the current season. I believe this would end up subtracting from our current 10 round draft significantly.

Yeah, I am not in favor of this either.
We already are more less running a FYPD in the off-season anyway so taking out the few players who are breakouts wouldn't help.
Also, very few teams are eliminated from the playoffs at this point in the season and don't have the available money just sitting there.
And this would only be for players who have yet to make it to the majors as anyone who has made it will probably already be on a 1-year deal.
While it sounds fun, I don't think it will be as functional in reality.
