I know this subject has been discussed before but would like to bring it up since it's my first time. I would like to see the dead time eliminated just a little bit and see the allowed time per pick lowered to at least 12 hours. This is still alot of time for picks but would hopefully make things move faster. In my opinion it should be lower but it's just me. Think it over please.

First off, I want to say that I feel Jeff has been a great addition to the league and have really appreciated his involvement and banter. I also want to say that there are many things going on right now in my personal life that have me frustrated and I just need to go on a good rant. So my initial response is that I think the allotted time is just fine how it is. But I will now rant and, Jeff, I want you to know that this rant is more therapeutic for me and is not intended to personally be directed toward you.
We are complaining about dead time in our fantasy baseball league in January. IN JANUARY! As I am sure this draft will continue for another week, we will still be done with it IN JANUARY. JANUARY! Over two months before the regular season starts. And we are drafting prospects who most likely will not be in the major leagues for another couple years. IN JANUARY! For me, this league is fun and allows me to immerse myself way too deep into baseball and lets me live out a small dream of being a GM. It is a fun league that I do in my free time. I do not want to be required to check in for every detail at least twice a day IN JANUARY. Personally, I have a job and family with 4 kids that I spend the majority of my time with and I already invest time daily for 6 months of the baseball season. So I am not looking to take even more time away from them by worrying about my 6th round draft pick IN JANUARY. If you are worried about the dead time during a fantasy baseball league IN JANUARY, I have a feeling you need to find another hobby or something else in which to invest your time.
Ok rant over. I do feel better but not because I am actually frustrated with Cubs or this league. I am really frustrated with things outside this league but I am not allowed to be as open in those areas so I am ranting here. I intend this to have some humor behind it but I do think that we need to leave the clock right where it's at.

Hey just think if we had Angels still here he'd make one pick and then let time expire on the rest and we wouldn't hear from him until next year LOL That's 24 hours per pick :-)

I also think Jeff has been a great addition to the league so far. And I will be a little more brief, but I 100% agree with Mets. I can think of several times over the last week where I had a near 12 hour block where it would have been very difficult for me to check. We start in January so there is enough time for the draft and signing.

While I would love a shorter clock, I understand why it is a 24 hour clock and that's why we start in JANUARY, to give us plenty of time. Everyone has the real world to deal with first.
The draft is my favorite part. So I know I am also impatient. At times my OCD and assburgers become to much and I just can't help myself. Especially the first few rounds, I'm like a little kid on Christmas morning and it's hard for me to remember to pump the brakes.
I will add that I LOVE the excitement and energy Jeff. It's very refreshing from what was there. So don't feel discouraged.

Not discouraged at all. I am also a kid on Christmas day. I just love the idea of baseball getting back into motion. I understand and respect everyone's view so far and have no issues with them. It was just my over eagerness getting to me when. I wrote the initial post. Thanks for having me.
