Not coming to Cards defense but I got all of those guys back from him for pennies on the dollar.

So you think referencing other people's "bad trades" rather than you're own was ok? I love the fact you are sitting here arguing that your trades at the time were fair and all those you showed weren't. The more you talk the more the new owners can see what they are dealing with. Thank you for proving our point.
Your player evaluation does however make me laugh hard. A .300-30-100 year means a guys is washed up, the most highly touted pitcher in the teams farm system was a "bullpen" guy but Castro has busted onto the scene with almost identical stats to Beckham the year I dealt him LOL ..this is pure comedy

This isn't drama - it's debate.
Harvey wasn't ever top 100 on any list that I found though he was an early pick.
I didn't see matt Harvey in any top 100 though he was an early pick and the best I saw arenado was 42 who I dealt so that's how awesome he is.
All I'm trying to do is show people that trading kershaw (ranked 24 at 19 years old) and Correa (ranked 1-7 at 20 years) can't be replaced by "gaining cap".

everyone in this league has made bad trades at one point or the other and there is a learning curve when coming into a league like this. I know I made some very bad trades right out of the gate but this whole debate or whatever you want to call it is basically pointless and has a better chance of causing a problem than making any kind of point

I m one of the new fish on the scene and have followed minors for a while now and NEVER did I see Harvey as a reliever. Just saying. I have minors in my league and made bonehead deals and awesome deals but they are what they are ... Perspective and wants and needs of each manager. What everyone else thinks as a third party is null and void in my book. If I make a deal or agree to a deal it's because I want to and shouldn't have to "convince" anyone. I understand they need approved from the committee so if they pass they pass and if not I will move on. I won't explain my thinking before your decision is made or after.

Great post Jeff.
As far as the trade committee goes it is in place to protect the league from trades deemed to be collusion or in poor spirit of the league.
I cannot remember the last time one was vetoed.
Basically you are free to run your team the way you want.
