Anyone know anyone?

So does anyone have anybody they are wanting to bring into the league? Or do we need to go fishing? 3 spots available obviously. 2 of the vacant teams have nice open, flexible rosters and the other is clogged up with no money to spend.

I already talked with TJ about someone I know coming on board. TJ is just waiting to fill the other 2 spots before he announced I think

Hey guys with TJ's life being as hectic as mine I know it's been tough finding new GM's to take over these pretty bad teams. With the draft set to start in a month I think we need a backup plan. We already have one owner locked in. He should get to choose whichever team he wants. (no incentive to get in though because A's is the clear best team but his salary cap is a disaster and minor leagues are bad)
So what I am thinking as a backup is that we put all of their players in the player free agent pool and draft. We add two bench spots and give every team say $10-20 to spend on them plus one extra minors spot.
I'm just trying to get out in front of this thing so let's all chime in with any ideas and thoughts

I would support that idea with maybe an option that each team could release one contract? just my 2 cents today...

I'm a big fan of giving the new guys a break from the idiots before them. Not sure if increasing the cap is the right solution but a's farm club is probably going to suck for 3 years

If we only have one new gm he'll have 3 teams to choose from. I think that is enough of a break, that is more than any of the rest of us got.
I like the idea of contracting the two unused teams and dropping their players into free agency or the draft. But personally I'm not a fan of expanding our current roster size and payroll just to accommodate the dropped player. Leave the rosters how they are and force us to make some hard decisions and be smarter with our auction bids. And if eliminating two teams is really a possibility, it brings up the issue with divisions. Would we go to 2 divisions of 7 teams?

Should I roll back A's rookie buyouts of Norris and Frazier so that a potential new gm can make that decision?

I'm not a fan of reducing teams again.

I'd think you should roll back the A's rookie buyouts...but I don't think it's a big deal either way.

if we have to reduce teams, I think we should shoot for having 15 teams. 3 divisions of 5 with the fourth playoff teams being a wild card. That way we would only have to break apart one team and it wouldnt cause too many issues of excess players/prospects and would not have cap issues either.

For 15 teams, someone would have to have a bye every week of the regular season though. 14 makes more sense to me if we have to contract, though I would rather offer a little bit of leniency to new owners to try to get them to take the teams...
I agree on rolling back Frazier and Norris, let a new owner decide. I'd be stunned if anyone else chose to extend Norris at that price.
