Here are a few moves I made in the last couple years that look pretty dumb in hindsight...
*October 10, 2012: Release prospect Dellin Betances
*February 10, 2014: Trade Francisco Rodriguez (2015) for David Freese (2014)
*February 16, 2014: Trade Jason Motte and Wade Davis (2014) for B.J. Upton (2015)
If you add Betances, K-Rod and Davis to the one relief ace I kept (Chapman), you get:
84 saves, 55 holds, a 1.81 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 423 K's in 284 IP (13.4 K/9)
I would have squeezed other guys into pitching spots when I could, and probably would have taken a little time to get Davis and Betances in there every day, but still...daaamn
