Have we ever talked about this for say a guy on a long term deal that gets hurt like Posey did last year???
This was never really something that would have mattered before we capped the roster at 35.
We add 1 60 day - DL spot, the cap still counts for that player but you can add a player in their place until they come back?
I specifically like this for guys that are out for the year, rather than a month or two.
Anybody like that idea? Thoughts?

I don't have a problem with this, but with 35 spots available for MLB players and 20 spots available for people who still have rookie eligibility, is it something that's that necessary? It seems like most people either have open space left on their roster or someone else that they could easily justify cutting.

An interesting idea. What do you all think?

I agree totally with Red Sox, I don't have a problem with it but seems like overkill. As of now we have 16 bench spots, and 20 more minor leaguers. That's 36 unused players and really think adding DL slots would just make it crazy

I don't think a DL spit is really necessary cause with all the bench spots you probably already have a back up or have a spot to sign one. If you do use all 35 roster spots then you will have more than one person at each position

We could even put in like half salary reimbursenemt on your 1 use IR guy. Just makes me think of wainrights situation last year.
Injuries really kill teams in here, I thought this spot might make it a little easier to get that players back up or another player to remain competitive.

maybe I'm wrong but isn't part of the strategy of fantasy to make sure you have bench depth ? I know for me I would design my team vastly different for the past 4 years if we could have salary back on starters and all

What does that have to do with anything? Just trying to make things better in the future

In the majors they players dont count towards the 40 man roster when they are on the dl...
Just doesn't make sense that we couldn't have something like this to avoid people cutting a kendrys morales or buster posey or whoever just bc someone had a long term injury.
