Big news as Prince is headed to Detroit and not Texas. Huge addition in the American League Central. Now to figure out where he fits in with Cabrera

Multiple reports have said that in the contract he stipulated he gets 1B , Cabrera will play DH which is pretty much his normal position , and Victor hmmm no idea ! But HUGGGGGGE deal

Victor is out for the year barring a quick recovery and then his contract is up after this season.

I thought he did too and he might have but I was reading something that made it seem like he was gone after this year but I think Vmart's contract is up after 2013

Yeah, VMart signed a 4 year/ $50 million deal. I think they will look to deal him after this year and since he has a good contract, they should be able to move him pretty easily.

I don't see that ending well. He was an average 3B when he came into the league at 19 and about 40 pounds lighter. Him and Fielder at the corners would make for some interesting defensive plays

40 pounds...you're being nice. He better tell Sir Charles to hook him up. But talk about a monster line up with miggy prince and vmart

There is no way this works for Detroit long term. They have screwed themselves and are spending 60 mil a year on three of the same players. The owner of Detroit who is over 80 also owns the Red Wings and said he would be willing to give up most of the Red Wings titles for just one World Series. This was a move to win in 2012 because he wants to win a title before he passes. Long term issues in Detroit. But now there are 5 serious title contenders in the American Leauge

Considering their current age I'd rather have Prince on a 9yr than Pujols on a 10yr.
And I hope Ilitch spends all his money on the Tigers so the Red Wings start sucking!!!!

Well thats not the point. Pujols at 10 wasnt the greatest decision but i mean at least there not spending 60 million on the first base slot.

lol. Did he really say that? Thats kind of a slap in the face to the Red Wings organization who has worked hard for him isnt it?
