Yes but it doesnt work that way. Youve been using players from a technically invalid trade while you make a later trade to get the cap room.

I made a mistake in calculation so what do you want me to do at this point?
Repost the trade or what? I've already got the solution in place.

I made a mistake when submitting this trade - it was supposed to include 5 in cap to make it work but I left it out. See the additional 5 we agreed upon

I take it the two draft picks were left out originally also? Im not sure why you didnt just say you left out the $5 by mistake when I first asked or amended the trade. Or cut someone. I can only go by whats posted and accepted.
Technically it should be reposted but that isnt really going to do anything as youve already been using the players. If the trade committee is ok with these two trades as they are thats ok with me, thats why they are there. I just didnt want to set a precedent of going over the cap then making a trade at a later date to get back under.

It wasn't a huge omission (1.0). I fixed it as soon as I could, and you can see I made the move with Baltimore bc I thought I was getting my ducks In a row.
I tried to be proactive about fixing since I made the error rather than go to Astros and say "sorry about your luck".
I couldn't just post a trade with me only getting 5 since the other trade had been finalized.

So what exactly are our options here? I have no issue with the two trades as they are posted now - I didn't check the cap space on the original deal, but had no issue with it in a vacuum.
Clearly the issue is that stats were accumulated by these players. Does TJ (or John) have the ability to remove those stats in ESPN? If not, seems like a moot point.
If modifying the stats is an option, then it seems like there is some discussion to be had. Cards could argue that if this had been brought up at the 48 hour point on the 16th, he would have dealt with it sooner, which I believe. But the counterargument could be made that the onus is on the people making the trade to post it correctly.
At the end of the day, it may not affect scores either way, although that's probably not the point. Cards is way ahead in K's and wins, and is losing both ratios despite good efforts from Roark and Ziegler (no saves or holds for Ziegler since the 16th). Astros is way ahead in ratios and wins, although K's are close. Marte has been out sick most of the games since the trade.

If there's an ability to modify the stats, I guess I would support that, but I wouldn't assess any additional penalty (I believe it was an accident).

I agree with Reds. He did fix it as soon as possible and outside of the ability to change stats the only other thing that really could be done would be to force Cards to bench those players for the same amount of days he used them prior to the trade being approved.
The mistakes have been corrected and there is no point in vetoeing one since it could be just resubmitted considering the new deal for the cap space now in place. Outside of stat changing or a minor penalty there is not much to be discussed here
