How do you feel about the Cards giving up Kaminsky though? Seems like a pretty good prospect to give up for Moss, although at least it's just 1-for-1.

the only way I can see this making any sense for a guy who is a .200 hitter is they think Kam is too small to be a starter. This is one that might bite them bad but obviously they are concerned with Holliday

if Moss can be the .250ish hitter his career suggests he can be then I'm ok with this, plays corner OF and 1B so he fits the need. While Kaminsky's milb numbers are really good I don't think the Cardinals where convinced he could stay a starter and they didn't give up Marco or Alex Reyes.
I still think if Holliday is out for an extended period they still need to go get another bat because they needed one before Holliday went down.

Yea he is so far away and we need to compete now. The smaller pitchers don't hold up long term.
