This deal is lopsided but if he can't get anyone else to make a deal for those palyers, why should he keep them on his team instead of getting something for them?

Yeah, the value is lopsided, but as people have pointed out, there is a small number of buyers. A steal for Cards? Yes, but as people have pointed out, Phils is getting a 4th rounder instead of nothing for these guys.
Yanks, Cards, and Rockies are each up by at least 20.5 games -- look at the rest of their divisions and there are 9 teams that should be selling. Pirates and Mets are within striking distance of Royals in the other division, so maaaybe those three could be looking to buy -- but they are also lagging way behind that Top 3 -- is it worth passing off picks and prospects to finish 4th this year? (I know H2H is kind of a crapshoot in the playoffs, but I think there's a sizeable enough difference in this case.)
This is kind of a perfect storm this season, but if we do go to 6 playoff teams (a couple wild cards) that definitely changes the dynamic. Phillies is suddenly a possible buyer, as are Rays, Orioles, and A's. I know that doesn't help us now, but maybe it makes things better in the future...

No matter what a 4th Round is NOT Enough for a 19 HR Guy with an .888 OPS and for Ziegler who's nr's already stated and Span Who is Solid! That isn't right at all cause if this deal goes trough then Another Loophole is Open!! This is gonna bring more Problem in the Future!!

Almost everyone has made similar deals to this at some point and they have all gone through with little to no discussion, I realize this one may be more lopsided than normal but similar deals have been allowed to pass so I don't see why this one can't.

Your supply and demand argument is a joke just like this deal. At no time did anyone in the league get offered these 3 players and cash for a 4th rounder. At no time would anyone even think these 3 could be had for a 4th. I know Cards has made you his personal minor league team but this is ridiculous. Supply and demand would have been you saying well I talked to 4 teams and none offered me more than a 4th for these 3. That never happened.
And A's is 100% correct it's just another loophole BS move that only hurts the league long term. Even in real baseball something like this would never, ever be allowed. But it's loophole, kill the integrity Kirby League.

I know I offered similar deals to at least 2 other teams, both of whom were not interested.
Cards has made me his personal minor league team? Care to back that up with any facts as to why that is? We've made a couple trades in the past, but nothing that I would say constitute me being "his personal minor league team".

Yanks -
This is one of those where he came to me. I'm sure he came to you.
For the record -
Arod is a huge risk down the stretch as is any 35 year old.
Span is hurt - with a back injury.
Ziegler - another injury risk down the stretch as good as he has been. Not an example of perfect health.

Cards - he didn't come to me and I can assure you didn't come to all of the league, which is why the argument of "no one would offer me more" is null and void. He came to you with this and didn't even try to get the best deal. That in definition is collusion and the reason we veto. You guys have proven that point now over and over, yet it will stand. Funny how that works huh?

Man, I so would have given you a 5th rounder for those guys Phils. (Joke works better if I had one to give, but so it goes.)
That said, he did come to me with "this" (just so that I don't detract from the combativeness)

This has Atleast 3 Vetoes and I am sure there is more Who want top but can't! Cards picked the Players all ready so that is also NOT FAIR when this thing is Happening and NEEDS to be Resolve

I guess I am the only one who does not have a huge problem with this deal, but picking up players before a trade is approved especially in a situation like this is essentially cheating.

Who is on the trade committee? And the players are not in my line up.
I thought it was approved since it had been over 24 hours.

I will say that these players were also offered to me & I declined them. I didn't need another closer, didn't want to risk having ARod for injuries plus I just can't stand the guy & didn't feel that Span was much of an upgrade to my OF with how his season is going. I do know the offer was made but I didn't see the value in it on my end.
I also don't have a huge problem with this trade as they are rentals who are no sure things for the rest of the year and no one but contenders are buying rentals with no RFA rights.

Another time to bring up having the auctions won by total dollar bid (ie. a 2 year bid at $3 a year would beat a 1 year $5 bid).
Unless no one else was interested in a guy you would probably have to bid a 3 or 4 year contract to win him. These would have RFA rights as well thus not making them basically worthless to non-contending teams in the final year of their contract.
This would also make the penalties for dropping guys higher (as it would impact more years). The drop lists on the spreadsheet are getting crazy.
