Braves send:
Andrew McCutchen: $42.50 - 2016 Brandon Belt - 2015 RC 4th Rd
Phillies send:
Jacoby Ellsbury: $22.55 - 2015* Matt Holliday: $21.60 - 2015 2nd Rd
Which side would you rather be on?
Feel free to elaborate.

I'd rather be on the McCutchen side due to his 5 category contribution in CF.
Ellsbury and Holliday who are aging on long contracts would not be my preference for our league!

I obviously think the McCutchen/Belt side was better.
I got the best player in the deal and gave up a couple of guys who are aging/have some injury history.
Going to miss Ellsbury's steals, but I also like not having to rely on Adam Laroche as my 1B.

is there really a question?
combined stats --
Option #1 - 38 HR's - 151 RBI - 173 Runs - 32 Steals - 303 Avg.
Option #2 - 31 HR's - 147 RBI - 195 Runs - 58 Steals - 299 Avg.
Oh yeah and positions are the same in scarcity, option #2 is less money, option #2 also got a 2nd round pick, and option #2 got better a better offseason situation. This was stealing without a gun, unless you think that losing 7 Homers and 4 RBI's is equal to 22 runs, 26 steals and a 2nd rounder. LOL

Let me add though ... Phillies HAD to make this move with no 1B I get it, just think throwing in a 2nd and eating money in his position was totally unnecessary.
Braves knew he had Phils where he wanted him and now owns the 2014 draft while getting better for the 2014 season.

I would argue that Belt should increase his numbers this year, while I would expect the other 3 guys to stay about the same, although I'd also contend that it's possible/likely that both Ellsbury (injuries) and Holiday (age) are on the back side of their careers and both had solid years last year that probably won't be repeated again in their careers.
As a side bonus, I don't have to root for a Yankee being that I got rid of Ellsbury! haha

Based on last years stats tj wins - but that is exactly what they are - Last year - We are looking forward.
I would take the 27 year old top CF over Ellsbury for the next couple years. Ellsbury will surely slow down, but may pick up power. I'm not a belt believer.
I think Braves win for 2014, but may deal with more injuries and inconsistent performance, especially with how they are going to be splitting up playing time in STL!
