Formal proposal.
I am proposing that we leave the current rookie system in place just raise the wages for rookies going forward. Current player up on rookie deal would stay on the current pay scale. My suggestion is raising the scale going forward from $1, $1.75, $2.5, $4 to $2.5, $5, $7.5, $10.

I think I might be agreeable to this, but anyone else think a smaller increment increase might be better to start? With those levels, players on rookie contracts become 2.5-3x as expensive. What about a straight up double, to $2/$3.5/$5/$8? And I'm assuming the same rule would be kept that a player could be cut within their first 2 years of the contract without drop penalties remaining for the rest of the years? (i.e. if you cut a player in his 2nd contract year, you owe half of that year's salary, but wouldn't owe half of $5 in the 3rd year or $8 in the 4th year)

I concur with reds. I think the big increase is too much.
