So the difference with using the cap trade feature versus what we have been doing is that once the trade is accepted it is reflected in your total cap number. For example if I trade $5 to Cards his total cap would now be $285 and mine would be $275. There is no record of where the cap came from exception the transaction trade history. Using the cap trade feature would be easier on me as I wouldn't have to go in and manually add the cap trade to each team but it would be on each team to keep the amount of cap they traded straight.
Is there a preference on how we proceed?
For now you guys can look at the trade history and Cards and my cap number to see how it is reflected.

Does anyone else have an opinion on the cap trade feature or getting away from posting trades on proboards?

I really don’t care for it Bc it isn’t in the cap trades section. We could ask fantrax to put it in there or make a better page that has it?

They probably won't because what I have been utilizing is technically a cap penalty feature. The only reason I like the new feature is it's less work for me. Same reason I asked about only showing trades on fantrax unless there is an issue, less work. But I'm willing to process trades and cap however you guys prefer, just gotta let me know.

Either works for me but cutting back on the number of places we need to check and look and etc seems to be the best solution

Well if it's up to me I think we should utilize the feature on Fantrax and also stop posting trades on proboards unless there is an issue. Personally I'd like to completely get away from using two sites but the league forum feature on fantrax doesn't appear to be the greatest and we would have to completely rework our auction process to use their auction feature.
But anyway, you can see who you've traded cap to by going to Transaction History --> Trades --> Sort by team.

I'm going to start converting the existing cap transactions over then so there is a not a mix.
And yes we are starting Free Agency tomorrow morning.

After we get through the bulk of FAs and into the season I would like to test run a few players through Fantrax's auction process to see what it's like and how extensively we'd have to overhaul our process to use it.

In celebration of a new CBA being agreed to by the players and of course ratified by the owners who got everything they wanted, I am opening up free agent auctions for open nominations.

We need to get the rest of the site fees paid for so those of you who haven't paid yet (Reds, Rockies, Royals, Mets, Phils, Mariners and Cards) can you please do so as soon as possible. Thanks.
