2013 - (outstanding draft class considering rounds) 7th Rd (78) - Dellin Betances ...after I cut Betances due to running out of space on my minor league roster. What a dumb decision. I guess I acquired him from you at some point too if you drafted him twice. If you ever get tired of him again, let me know, haha...

I don't see kershaw, rendon, machado, correa or posey in here - good drafting. Better trading!

If you draft well you have the pieces to make good trades. After all these years I'm still teaching you how to be a good GM huh Cards?

You are the one with the championships! I'm studying your every deal. I would really benefit reading some of the negotiations haha

To win championships draft well and buy great in season cheap free agents. Trades mean almost nothing and don't do a thing if you don't have the chips to move. More than half my team was built through the draft and free agency. Its teams like you who try and overspend and try and make huge trades while overvaluing talent. Gotta be willing to give up the immediate for the bigger picture

I'll definitely say this. There is no one way to build a team. I hate paying big cash for free anegnts and my team almost never has free agency money. I am all about a good draft and good waiver players. Others have had success through free agency. It's all about mindset. I feel for my team specifically to succeed I need to lock guys up long term. That does however take away some of the turnover fun. In the past 3 years I've never had room to buy even 3-4 FA.

And by the way you bitch about my "bad" trades. I got Machado for Todd Frazier, Zack Wheeler and a pick. That's still a fair deal. And Correa with a then broken leg for Yelich, a closer and David Price. Even now that trade can't be called that lopsided. Posey came in a deal for Longoria and Grandal.
Just an FYI to the new guys who Cards is trying to manipulate.
P.S. - Cards and I traded last season he gave me Greinke for Trumbo. But he had his reasons like everyone does.

I traded for Machado and Correa when they were injured. So I guess only you use context and reasons for trades huh? Thank you for proving my point

When was Grienke hurt? He made 32 starts and was the best pitcher in the NL all season

Mark Trumbo had 508 ABs, played in 142 games!!
I think your logic is flawed but I should have known better than to interject.
