This poll will establish whether you all want to raise the rookie wage scale. If approved then we will move on to what the raise scale would be.
To clarify...this would affect guys being brought up from 2015 on.

I don't think this is a cut and dry proposal. Like I was pointing out why raise the rookie pay scale if we are still restricted on years

The first thing to establish is whether people even want to raise it. If they do then we can move on to the next step.
Personally I would be voting no (if I could vote) because it harms me the most.

I don't mind the Raising if there is an Extra year added (which I proposed before) for the Minors contract if not I don't think I can Vote Yes for the Increase of the wage only,,
PS. also I think EVERYONE has a saying here EVERYONE has to VOTE I don't think it is Fair to the League or Commissioners to NOT Vote on CHANGES for the League so I dunno how everyone else feels but when it comes to changes like these everyone has to vote IMHO...

I do not like this wording. Can we not just raise it for future rookies? So 2015 and on
Guys that are already up should be grandfathered into the old pay scale

I think adding years to the rookie deals is a whole different argument.
I don't see the point of adding years. You are already getting the player for 3 years, maybe parts of more, before dropping them incurs a penalty. If they are a top notch guy, we have a rookie buyout program now in place to extend them (Which allows to go 1 year beyond what you can offer a FA or RFA. Extending a rookie this year to max years made it a 2018 contract)And if they are not worthy of a buyout, you have them on RFA and get a 15% discount if you match. The options are there if you're willing to take advantage of them.

For what it is worth, if you dont think your guy is worth 5.0 after 2 years, he probably isnt. Cut him at no penalty.

So something just occurred to me that I thought was worth mentioning -- I know we've allowed guys to be added to the MLB roster (starting their rookie contract clock) before they actually reach eligibility. Last year I did that with Carter Capps when I acquired another prospect, because I expected him to reach the minimum IP anyway, so I was just losing a year.
I know I have a ton of guys who are likely to reach rookie minimums in 2014, and I'm sure other guys do too. I think we should have a clear rule for what should be allowed as far as this rule goes, if a salary increase would take effect for 2015 rookies. Otherwise, there are definite pros for starting clocks early - you'll lose a year, but you'll save 2-3x the money. IMO, even though it might hurt me personally, I think the easiest thing to do is not allow any early promotions to the contract.

Great catch. If this passes I would be okay with not allowing early call ups this season. I think with the expand prospect limit it shouldn't be a problem. Currently only Phills, Rays and I are at 25 prospects.

Theres only 14 voters, commissioners dont vote, and its a little late to be changing that process to affect this.
Welcome to a democratic republic, where the majority rules.

What are we scared of then??? Seems to mexyou are the one trying to influence votes. I have never solicited or told anyone how to vote and I never will. Maybe it's about time you keep your word and quit, most of us wouldn't mind. Because I will continue to bring up changes that I think will help this league and I encourage others to do the same.

Keep beating that dead horse with Cingani, its not the first deal that hasnt worked out in my favor and it wont be the last. Hindsight is always 20/20. Seems covienent you fail to mention you were dying to give him and Corbin away for Parker. So quit pretending that you know everything, your smug attitude is getting old

What if we kept years 1 and 2 the same, but then increased the 3rd and 4th year?
