Veto. This guy clearly doesn't understand what he is doing.

Veto -- Kuroda is looking more and more like he will pitch in Japan and not the Dodgers , Grant Green was a first round pick a year ago , then add darnell and a pick this year for nothing but rights to Carl Crawford? Rights mean very little in a league where everyone has so much to spend. If you want a guy you can go get him by bidding. Green is worth way more than this , this should be an obvious Veto

wow first veto and it's by Cards to Yanks, yup didn't see this coming. So let's see we have had two deals so far for RFA rights for starters , neither starter is as good as Weaver. Two prospects, one rated very high, for Cueto, and the other was a good prospect and a 6th but no problems with those? You're a joke Jared don't start the offseason on this note

Indians thank you for proving my point, that trade was allowed. The market has been set. 2 highly rated prospects and a 4th rounder for a guy who was rumored to go to Japan and a player off a big injury who missed 90% of the year. I probably should have asked for more but I'm just not like that

yanks - it just shows how you change your tune when the shoe is on the other foot.
This is clearly a similar deal to when you took advantage of trecker's newness to get kershaw in the first place.
The bosox-cards panda deal sent the world series MVP and I'm sure zack wheeler is more highly rated than both of those prospects.
Cubs is a big boy and if he wants give a highly rated prospect for johnny cueto, good for him.
I'm tired of the turn over because we feast on these guys before they comprehend the value of prospects.

In Cards defense the other two RFAs that were traded for prospects were not traded for a prospect generally considered in the top 10 of the game. One was for a good prospect coming off injury (who's always had injury concerns) and a reliever, the other was for a OF prospect who's star has dimmed a bit and a pick. Clearly different.
BUT if that's what the new guys wants to do I have no problem with it, I've always been an advocate to let teams run their team how they see fit.

Yanks - i'm sure you know how bad you're ripping this guy off.
Kershaw could cost 40/year even with the rights.
If wheeler does what we've seen pitchers like bumgarner, cain or price do, he could be worth 10-20+ over the next 4 years.
Even our feared leader trecker underestimated the value of prospects when he dealt kershaw for beckham and shebly miller (when he was 18) for 5.0.

Wheeler could also become the other "sure things" Luke Hochevar, Homer Bailey, Joba Chamberlain, Chris Tillman, Jake Arrieta ... should I go on?
You know this is as fair a deal as any other for rights but it's you and you are always gonna be a baby. I'm actually not sure if I could wipe my ass without you protesting it, arguing about it, asking Kevin about it, and then telling me how the poop I took was a fluke. He is getting a top 10 starter, has money to burn, and is desperate for pitching agree or not it makes sense for him.

I'm ok with this Deal! IF it ends up being a Kershaw for Beckham Deal I don't mind either cause then He'll learn the Hard way just like Braves did and he ain't doing Bad at all so I think it's Fair I do Value RFA's High so if I could'e Vote it sure isn't going to be a veto, Good Deal IMHO!

Yea. But this guy could end up just giving away a top 10 guy for wheeler or overpaying big time. We all have money to burn and this guy is clearly building value on 2013
