I'll be cutting Jason Frasor and calling up Jake McGee from the minors to make room for this trade.

Whoa there slick! There is nothing wrong w this trade its the interpretation of a rule regarding my corresponding move that's in question.

gotta agree with Cards here. The way I read the rule is you can't bring him up. This would cause a huge loophole in the system where guys take advantage of the minor league limits.

Change who you're dropping and the 48 hour clock restarts

Seems to me you all where aware of the loopholes from the get go.
Nowhere on the rule does it say that this can't take place inseason. I know McGee is over his 50 innings but he doesn't count as going over the limit until next year. Im still burning a year of his contract which by guess was the only reason why this rule was allowed.
I'll let the voting process take place before I decide to change what Im doing. Sorry Rox.

gotta agree with Cards here. The way I read the rule is you can't bring him up. This would cause a huge loophole in the system where guys take advantage of the minor league limits. I fail to see your point it's essentially the same as if I called him up in the offseason, I'm burning a year of his contract. Change who you're dropping and the 48 hour clock restarts With what I proposed I'm not dropping any prospects. If you mean who I'm calling up, that makes absolutely no sense to me. You should either be allowed to call guys up in season or not, The fact that McGee has pitched over 50 innings should be irrelevant because that doesn't make his contract take affect until next year. Which I am wanting to start this year, again essentially the same as if I called him up in March.

So Indians could call up an A ball player like Odor to his major league roster but not McGee who is actually in the majors? How does that make sense.
