OK Guys..
We Can't do weighted schedules and everyone plays everyone the same amount of times.
This means that luck plays a factor on who makes the play offs more than skill which makes this less fun.
In baseball the cardinals and the cubs play each other 20 times, but the cardinals only play the braves 6. We can't do this so our divisions don't produce the best team, but rather the team with the weakest division (meaning its dumb even more bc they were the best of the weakest probably).
This needs to be addressed to take chance out of it.
Are you in favor of 1 divison taking the 4 best teams, 2 divisions taking each division winner and the 2 next best or 4 division, the way it is, allowing the 2 best teams in the league to not make the playoffs?

If there's no way to weigh the schedule, then I think we should just do everyone in 1 "division" and the top 4 teams make the playoffs.

Your facts are wrong though Cards, we've been over this. In theory you're right but it's not real. We do not all play the same teams and same schedule and the problem with this is that it makes it even more "luck" since we can't change the schedule. For example last year you had a good record but played two worse teams over the year than me, while I played two contenders. So how do we determine who gets an easy schedule like you had or the tough schedule? If we can all play the same exact schedule then I am in favor of one league and the top 4 and 2 extra, but if it's unfair schedules like this we need to keep divisions.
What you're proposing is that the Cubs play the Pirates and Mets during the year while the Cardinals play the Phillies and Braves.
As far as you saying the top two teams in the league don't make the playoffs that is an impossible scenerio and actually comical.

This is very simple the idea of the AL East vs. the NL Central , you have your division if you're not strong enough to win your own division then you shouldn't sneak into the wild card. That's penalizing a guy who all year won and then all of a sudden loses because his team has a bad last week to a team who doesn't even belong there to start. Makes the regular season meaningless and certainly would change my way of drafting a team for sure.

I'm saying it's theoretically possible in our current set up that the 2 best teams are in 1 division ad therefore one could be left out.

Its a good topic to discuss but we have 1 major problem. WE ARE WAY TO CLOSE TO THE START OF THE SEASON. We will discuss this next offseason. Case closed!

Lame. How does that effect anything? It's your fault braves we haven't addressed this when we wanted to all off season.

Again what could be the problem of the 4 best teams making the playoffs?

Wrong screwball. YOU WERE IN CHARGE WHEN WE SWITCHED FROM 2 DIVISIONS TO 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you are unhappy then get out of the league and I will GLADLY replace you. Otherwise man up and beat me! Beat Phillies! Beat Cubs! Beat somebody! Cause right now the 4th place trophy has your name engraved on it.
(Here is where he will blame Kevin for the change)

I really don't see this as being a huge problem or much of a problem at all. Yankees said it best talking about the AL East and NL central. There is a competitive imbalance on fantasy and there is in every real sport. Don't you think the Rays and Red Sox and even the Blue Jays wish they got to play the Pirates and Astros and Cubs more than they want to play each other? You are the only one with an issue with the schedule we have

Yankees argument doesn't include the fact that the MLB has a wildcats which is what I'm arguing.
Braves you sound like kevin, this is apparently your show only now rather than being a league run on majority.
The four divisions were not put in by me. They were put in by the guy before me.
Braves when I have the best record and you're 2nd to me this year I won't pick up the pieces.

Yes MLB has wild cards but they also have home field advantage. What is the benefit of winning your division now? This would eliminate this. Last year you had one of the easiest schedules in the league and finished out of the playoffs how would it be fair to TJ who had the best record all season and beat you to have the same postseason rights as you? Makes absolutely no sense

Dude I have been talking forever about realignment. Rockies, Yankees, Mets, Nationals, Angels, Indians, and you can all attest to this fact. I have talked about adding wild cards, 2 divisions, everything.
To say that I have run this league like Kevin has just opened you up to a huge amount of criticism and alienation. I am the biggest proponent of a democratic league and the proof is in the pudding. All of you are involved in every rule change and encouraged to bring up new ideas.
To your last comment. If you beat me you know who will be first in line to congratulate you and tell you did a good job......ME! Just like I do to my 7 year old. I guess that is the difference between you and I.

If you've been bringing it up why hasn't anything changed? Closing this discussion in February is ridiculous.

Why does it need to change? If it is such an issue why haven't any of the other 14 GM's posted. Why didn't you bring it up when the 2011 season ended? We are a democratic league after all.
