I have a feeling the cano auction may linger for another week...
It will be interested to see how the rest of the RFAs turn out

Again. I thought I advertised I was looking to get rid of cliff lee for cap relief but people bid 18 on Beckett who has as much of a chance to be an ineffective fantasy assest as he is to repeat his 2011 performance year based on his career.
Humorous at the very least.

seriously guys whats so hard about nominating a player if you have the winning bid (even if he's a rfa and you don't get him)

that would require you to pay attention during the auctions

Seriously? James shields over 30? Makes cliff lee at 45 look like a bargain!

yeah this should have an enormous impact on Soria since he may face Fielder 5 at bats all season LOL

ummm...division opponents play each other 20 times a season....which creates a potential for 20 at bats. That isn't likely but for a guy whose runs doubled last year, it isnt gonna make things any easier.
Miggy...u could just walk...now not so easy.

they play 18 times, IF the Royals win 7 of those games I'd say that's an accomplishment. Out of those 7 games how many will be save situations? If they are save sitiuations whats the chances that Prince just happens to be up? ALOT has to fall in place for him to even get 5 at bats, combined Soria may see them 5 times, the fact that Fielder went to Detroit has zero impact on Soria

Daaaamn, the auction for Goldschmidt is getting crazy. I like him too, but upwards of $30 seems like a lot to pay for a guy who:
-Barely has 150 AB's in the majors -Struck out in more than 1/3 of those AB's -Wasn't on the prospect radar until last year (didn't get picked in our minor league draft after 2010, although I remember someone saying they almost took him)
